Holiday Open House At Grafton Historical Society Museum Set For Sunday, December 4th
Grafton:The Grafton Historical Society will host its annual Museum Holiday Open House on Sunday afternoon, December 4th from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Everyone is invited to visit the museum located at One Grafton Common. This year the Historical Society invites families to an inspired interpretive reading of “Twas The Night Before Christmas” by Society curator Joseph Schilke. The readings are scheduled at 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. Special “just like home made” refreshments will be available.
“The Historical Society’s museum is open every Sunday afternoon, but our annual Christmas open house is one of those special afternoons for the families of Grafton. We invite all residents to join us for refreshments and a place to relax. Then it’s an easy walk to the historic Grafton Common for the lighting of the community Christmas tree scheduled for 4:30 PM.” noted Historical Society president Linda Casey.
The Grafton Historical Society is a private, non-profit 501c3 organization that collects preserves and interprets all things related to the history of Grafton, Massachusetts. The office and museum are located in the lower level of the Grafton Town House. The Historical Society is managed by a twelve member volunteer board of directors, along with a core of dedicated volunteers. Educational programs are held September through May.
